Run the Rock
Run the Rock Marathon, Half & 8k. Texada provides a challenging course that will provide serious bragging rights. Marathon finishers have said it’s the toughest road marathon in Canada. Come decide for yourself. All finishers in the marathon and half marathon get a custom finisher's medal.
Texada Rock in Pride
Texada Pride is hosting the 5th annual event celebrating diversity in our community. Afternoon parade and drag races. Overnight camping. All welcome. Evening show 19+ licensed event.

The walking tour map & guide is available at the gas station, Texada Boating Club, and at the Texada Market.
This self-guided heritage walking tour in Van Anda has 7 stops, identified by numbered posts, including visits to a lime kiln, Marble Bay mine, “Van Anda” & “Texada City” communities, Copper Queen St, Government Wharf – Cairn, Smelter, Presbyterian Church, and the Texada Island Heritage Museum.

This 1942 fire truck, built to war-time specifications, is displayed in front of the Gillies Bay Volunteer Fire Department.
Indigenous Artefacts
at Shelter Point Regional Park (Caretaker’s Residence Display Box)
Archeological discoveries show that the Tla’amin built and continuously occupied Shelter Point from 3,300 years ago until the mid-19th Century. Aarrowheads, tools and faunal remains (bones) are displayed.
